I worked SO HARD on this design, you guys. I had to take the full color/water color effect I used in the original comic and distill it down to three colors. Not as easy task, but I am VERY pleased with the result. This is definitely one of the best shirts I’ve ever made. Please show your support for HE by picking one up in the store, or forwarding a link to your friends that might be into Game Of Thrones, Calvin and Hobbes or, god forbid, both.

I enjoy me some Nerdist Podcast, so while listening to Chris Hardwick lament about a topsy turvy world where no one but himself knew what cottage cheese was, I was inspired to make this comic. WARNING: This comic makes MUCH more sense if you have listened to Nerdist Podcast Episode #114, which is why it’s posted down here and not up in the main comic area.

Baltimore Comic-Con 2011!!!

Why am I wearing kevlar body armor and a making sure my life insurance policy is up to date? That’s right! I’m going to Baltimore this weekend!

Baltimore Comic-Con is the first show I ever exhibited at (2009), and for some reason has been the annual gathering spot for some of my most supportive readers. It’s a very low key show, focused almost entirely on comics. There is little to no media (TV, Movies, general entertainment industry) presence there which makes for a show that is easy to navigate and pretty stress free. I will be in the Artist Alley right next to Dannielle Corsetto at Table #A187 or so. I will have books 1 and 2, “The Doctor Is In” shirts, “Team Edward [James Olmos]” shirts and “Ewok Stare” shirts, plus prints, stickers and Fancy Sketches.

We have had a really fantastic Fancy Bastard meetup each year. This year FB Adam M. is taking it upon himself to plan the festivities. We are going to have a food, drinks, movie, party-type situation at his parents’ house (since they are locals and are totally the kind of cool parents that will buy us beer and let us stay up real late) and if you are interested in attending you can find the details HERE on G+ or talk to Adam directly on G+ or Twitter. The HijiNKS ENSUE Store Is Back!

The all new, re-launched, Blind Ferret Powered HIJINKS ENSUE STORE is up and fully operational.

It’s only been live for a few hours so there are still some kinks to work out, and organizational things I plan on addressing, but for now please go check it out and maybe buy a book or a shirt or something. Shirts will be shipping soon after we all get back from Comic-Con.

You will also notice that the “Doctor Is In” shirt has moved from Sharksplode over to The HE Store. I did this because it was based on an HE comic and should be in the place where I am selling things based on the comic. After talking to Wil, we decided that instead of having Sharksplode as my second comic-related store (a confusing proposition for the reader, I admit) that it would instead be more useful as a repository of shirts and what not created from our random geeky ideas. I like this idea. I like this idea a lot.

Major thanks to Becker and the rest of the Blind Ferret team for getting this store up and running while they are simultaneously scrambling around to get to San Diego Comic-Con.

HijiNKS ENSUE At San Diego Comic-Con 2011

San Diego Comic-Con is this week! I will be with Ryan and Lar and Danielle at the Blind Ferret Booth [Booth 1332] in the Webcomic area. I will have books 1 and 2, prints, sketch cards, stickers and nearly all of my shirts.

This will be my debut show as a part of Blind Ferret Entertainment. This is a great partnership for me in that it will allow me to focus more on making comics and less on the administrative aspects of running a small business. Blind Ferret are going to be producing all of my T-Shirts, my books (no more 4 month preorders!), managing many of my convention appearances (which allows me to do bigger shows that I can’t afford to do on my own), and opening up possibilities for new kinds of HE merch like plushies and what not. The new Blind Ferret powered HE STORE will be opening soon. Hopefully right after comicon.

If you are going to be at the show, please come by booth 1332 and say hi. I will be the one going on 2 hours of sleep and propping my self up against Lar deSouza.
