My Award Has A First Name

If you follow me on Twitter, you may know that my mom was in a really bad car accident yesterday. I ended up spending all night in the hospital and came home to get some rest about 2am this morning. I’m headed back to the hospital now. She is doing well, but she needs to have surgery for a compound fracture in her thumb. Please send positive thoughts our way and excuse the lack of comic updates this week.

I assume I will still be at Emerald City Comic Con this weekend if she is already home and recovering.

If you are in Seattle and would be interested in a reader meetup this weekend, comment below.

Upcoming Appearances!!!

Emerald City Comic-Con
March 13-14 @ The Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA

I will be a guest at Comicpalooza in Houston, TX March 26-28

I am very happy to report that the Fancy Bastards have already donated over $1500 towards my medical expenses!

If you enjoy the comic and would like to help out, please consider making a small DONATION. Put “ER Bill” in the comments and I will make sure it goes straight to the Hospital/Collection Agency.

Thank you all so very much.

  1. Glad your mom is ok! My thoughts are with her and you and your family.
Great strip! I'm really enjoying your webcomic btw. I wish we'd have a similar comic in Germany, but oh well, your's is just perfect anyway. Keep it up!

  2. Love to meet up, but I'm a volunteer at ECCC and will be manning the Marvel booth (section H) all day both days. If you swing by to greet the Mighty Marvelites, please also say hi to the guy with the shaved head wearing the volunteer shirt (it says Pawn on the back). I'll be tickled pink.

Otherwise, hope you enjoy the show – – it's looking to be a tingly pile of geeky madness!

  3. Well, they say bad things come in threes. Between your back, your kid getting sick, and your mom getting in a crash, you should be ok for a while now if it's any consolation

  4. Moms in hospitals are never a good thing. Hope she recovers quickly.

So excited that you'll be in Seattle tomorrow.
