A Wrong Turn At Albuquerque

“Winter Is Coming” shirts are now IN THE STORE!!! [based on this comic]

If regular episodes of Breaking Bad give me ulcers, the season finales typically cause my stomach to attempt to digest itself. I can’t really comment on this Sunday’s season finale since essentially everything I can say is a SPOILER. I will say this, however, “OMGWTFWALTERWHITEABQ!!!” Yeah, it was that type of situation.

COMMENTERS: The idea for this comic was born out of some fun I was having with the Fancy Bastards on Twitter this weekend coming up with alternative, alliterative shows that might star Bryan Cranston as Walter White. I started with Baking Bread, Braking Boards, Busking Broads and went full speed to stupid-town from there. I will post some of my favorite @responses from readers in the comments. Feel free to come up with your own. Please do not post any Breaking Bad spoilers in the comments.

GUEST WEEK AND NYCC!!!
I am going to be at New York Comic-Con with Blind Ferret at Booth #1821 this weekend  (10-13 to 10-16).

I will have books 1 and 2, T-Shirts (including the new “Winter Is Coming” shirt and maybe a debut of another new shirt), stickers, sketches and prints. I am going to be staying in Brooklyn so I hope to hit up the Doctor Who themed bar, The Way Station. Maybe we can do a bit of an informal Fancy Bastard Meetup there.

Starting tomorrow (Wednesday), I will be running a few guest comics created just for you by several of my webcomicing cohorts (Paul Southworth, Sam Logan, Randy Milholland and Alina Pete). Based on what I’ve seen so far, this will be the most epic HE guest week ever.

@gcroucher Did you catch the finale of Barking Breeds? The Corgis were fantastic in the talent show! I didn't like the Pugs.

@Brianhead Dude, tonight's Becoming Borg was amazing. I won't spoil anything, but that Locutus is really something.

  2. Hm. I have a stock of erlenmeyer flasks exactly like that one in my kitchen cupboard (don't ask). I also have a lab coat and I can bake bread. No beard, though, so I guess I can't really replicate that.

  3. What, no Bratty Bastards with everyone's favorite anti-hero as the meanest babysitter/little league coach in the neighborhood?

  4. Unfortunately, "Baking Bread" is an old joke already. Someone beat you to it.

How about the age-old fried chicken debate: Breading / Batter
Move the whole show to Cleveland and turn it into a football show: Backing Browns
Copycat the To Catch a Predator show: Baiting Brutes
Ooh, ooh, ooh! Best cooking show ever!!: Baking Brownies!!!!!!

I have been loving this show from day 1. I cannot believe I LIKE a show about meth, just as I still can't believe I love a show about prison (Oz). I love that this season was all about studying the psychologies of all the characters. The back story on Gus (not a spoiler, was several weeks ago) was genius. Honestly, the last 4 episodes, I kept swearing that each of them was the finale… until I saw the "next week on…"
I spent most of this season thinking Walter's problem is that he thinks too small. His view is too small.

  5. Breaking Birds: It's a home improvement show dedicated to making your structures more resistant to disgruntled avian impacts. The pig demographic is huge.

  6. I am currently watching Season 3 of Breaking Bad on Netflix. You are right…it gives me an ulcer. A wonderful, fantastic, ulcer. I love-hate this show.

  7. The show is so stressful for me I had to stop watching week to week, consequently I haven't started the new season yet. But I have to say the previous season was kinda up and down for me. Half of the show I couldn't get enough of and the other half was unbearable, meaning Skylar & Walter scenes or anything with Marie in it. All the family awkwardness and tension on top of how stressful the show was already was just too much. This show probably has the highest ratio ever between how much I love it to how much I FF through it.
