GYFB Shirt Designs Update

This shirt design is kicking my ass but I think it’s getting stronger with each revision thanks, in no small part, to your suggestions.

After completing the Josh art I am leaning one of two directions.

Joel, Eli and the planet in the background will be light or ghosted. Probably grayscale.

I like the text much better in this split configuration. I hope to wrap this up and get it in the store in the next day or two, so get your feedback in as soon as possible.

Oh, also I’m thinking this will work best on a black shirt. Any other ideas?

UPDATE (4/10/08 @ 1:45pm):

I’ve been reading all the suggestions and messing around with new design concepts. I normally would just design the shirt and put it in the store, but this one is special. It’s the “I’m A Fancy Bastard” shirt. This brands you as an HE reader because NO ONE ELSE could ever understand it. Taking the best bits from all the suggestions and mixing them with my own ideas I’ve come up with these:

Ignore the background color. I just used a neutral gray to sketch over. I think Joel and Eli would be in gray tones kind of in shadow.

Store Update: HELP!

If you have one of the “Roslin ’08” shirts, please send me a pic of you wearing it. It’s not for my personal naughty business. Its for COMMERCE!

This will be the first shirt added to the store, and possibly the only one from the old lot (unless anyone is interested in the Dumbldore Shirts).

FYI, I will use these pics in ads, banners, on the site, etc.

New comic Tuesday and the realization of a dream

A pox has fallen on my house yet again. My wife was sick (really sick) all weekend so the comic took a backseat. It will be posted tomorrow morning.

I want to make sure everyone that bought a shirt knows how much it means to me. I worked really hard on the designs and I hope they become your favorite shirts. I’m still having a hard time comprehending that people in other countries are wearing things that I crapped out of my brain. The crap-brain boggles. Also, boobies. Check that out. No comic today, Dallas Observer, Desktops & STORE UPDATE!!!

What is going on? What am I doing? Where is the comic? What the crap?

I have several projects that I am wrapping up this week and just didn’t have time to finish today’s comic without rushing. I will be posting it Monday. Lot’s of cool stuff in the works.

First: If you are in Dallas, TX, pick up this week’s Dallas Observer. I’ve been doing story art for them for the last couple of weeks. It’s been a lot of fun. This week the story is about a “Singstar PS2 Mall Tour.” I will find out if I’m allowed to post the art here. Maybe as a desktop.

Second: Desktops! I’m working on them now. I will be posting an “Extras” Page (hopefully) this weekend for your downloading pleasure.

Last part!: THE STORE!!!! OK, fellas, here’s the deal. The shirt orders are trickling in but not fast enough to warrant all this presale nonsense. You may have noticed that I took the “Wizard Pride” shirt down. There just weren’t enough orders to have them printed. Well F to that. I want those super cool people to have those super cool shirts. If you have already preordered: I am in the process of converting your preorders to Bountee orders. The good news is that you will get your shirts a lot sooner. The bad news (for me) is that I didn’t charge enough during the presale, so I will be losing money on these shirts. YOU STILL WIN!!!
