The 1984rity Report 2: Brainwash Boogaloo

It’s a veritable infestation of continuity. Is there an aerosol spray that will kill it?

Josh brought his new Macbook Pro over the for the Podcast last night. It was sexy. The End.

Why would he want Joel's pants? They don't look very Fancy Bastard-ish. Not enough glitter and sequins.

  2. Eddie

    One word: bedazzling.

  3. Mysterioustree

He should make them into assless chaps.

  4. Dram

He should film a gay porn in them. That is my hilarious comment.

    "A night at Joel's"…

Assless cutoffs, nobody wins but you…

  7. Mutant enemy

Josh the never nude. Maybe he should blue himself as well.

  8. doug

    Lol. Again.

"Incredibly stylish floating prison" reminds me of Rhyme and Reason's palace in "Phantom Tollbooth."

If Josh is getting your jeans, what is Eli getting?

  9. John Darc

But….if Josh is fatter than you, how will he wear the pants, no matter how cut off they are?

  10. Kaj

I'm waiting for Joel to stab the interviewer in the throat with a pen, like in the old River Tam session vids….

  11. Kaj

Hmm..maybe a new comic tag "Josh steals pants"

  12. santy

It was part 1984, part minority report, part True Lies part Lion King 2: Simba's Pride.

  14. hijinksensue

  15. hijinksensue

Im sure they just got done divying up my computers, instruments and boxes of macaroni.

  16. hijinksensue

  17. hijinksensue

Out of the shadows, Future Joel shows up with a trenchcoat and a scar on his face.

    uh oh! Unintentional Heroes/HE crossover!

    Instruments … of torture. Cool.

Interesting how Apple was once marketed as an agent of revolution against communal thinking ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYecfV3ubP8 ), and now the cult around it nigh epitomizes . . . cult-ness.

On a semi-related note, here's another 1984 reference with Apple included, though it would seem this is a much more politically motivated example: http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=2...

Minority Report and Lion King rule. I can't speak of True Lies, as I tend to avoid movies that are made of shit. (jk)

    "HEroes"

  24. Dean

Viggo Mortensen is 50 years old today. Holy shit.
Just thought I'd let you all know.

  25. Dean

    Tobias: "I blue myself."
Michael: "There has got to be a better way to say that."

  26. John Darc

    They've done this joke already!

  27. Dean

    Dammit. I forgot.

Well, consider that after all these years, Apple is STILL the only true thing keeping Microsoft from a PC monopoly. Looking at how big Microsoft has grown since those days, it only follows that Apple would have to expand as well to keep up. What is really interesting to analyse is the parallell success they've had going in two completely different directions; Apple with it's iPod, and Microsoft with its X-Box.

Very nice with the old school Apple "1984" advertisement reference! I'm enjoying this mini-arc; it reminds me of Scroogled, a science-fiction short story about "the day Google became evil."
