the abandoned storyline thing would kill you too. I like to drink to those moments when it looks like some lame character is about to get cool, then he ends up getting dragged through time, or he decides to arbitrarily let the villain live, or you remember that he is Grunberg. GRUNBERG!

neah, it would have been canceled after the first season, which was actually nice, and then we would be complaining that fox destroyed another show that had potential. This way we get to see how wrong we would have been thinking that.

Woo, two weeks late! But I will say that good riddance to bad rubbish as per Heroes. My hubby and I are convinced that the author wanted so badly to write an X-Men show but couldn't get the rights from Marvel (thank god!). It was painful to watch just about every idea in there be ripped off from a source that did it better. But Yay!

P.S. A good drinking game isn't supposed to kill you. Or is this a case of ending your suffering while watching the series?

<a href="http://encyclopediadramatica.com/An_hero" target="_blank">http://encyclopediadramatica.com/An_hero</a>
Although it seems a wee bit cultesque, but rough 2 rules of thumb
1. Joel is always right
2. In the event Joel appears to be wrong, refer to rule one

Seriously, he usually has a reason.

it helps, when correcting someone, to ensure that you're actually *right* and they're *wrong*.

I agree with Chris Flick. I think this show was a victim of the Writer's Strike; after that it never fully recovered, because not only did they do the unforgivable: have you invest on new characters and stories to just leave them by the wayside because of the freakin' strike, which made tons of people lose faith (Season 2 had potential, had they allowed it to grow to it's real conclusion), but then they did the SECOND worst mistake any TV writer can make, and that's try to pander to the online opinions. That's the stupidest thing in the universe. If there's one thing I've learned about "teh internets" is that you'll never please people, and when you think by doing something you'll please most of them, it will just make the others more pissed off and have them gain more support until ultimately everyone's so bitter at you, and you're so busy trying to please everyone and failing, that you then realize you're no longer doing the show you WANTED to make, but it has become lost in other people's vague wishes and unrecoverable.
I still have faith for a 5th and final season, since despite it's flaws I still love the show.

My husband and I also quit after season 2. The sheer amount of eye-rolling necessary to get through a show was getting painful. I'm glad to hear we made the right choice :).
