Actually, I wonder if this explains why Mr. Bay became the director of Transformers in the first place? It doesn't really strike me as the kind of franchise that most others would be jumping to get (at least, not before the success of the first movie).

I would think a creepy celeb/car pairing would involve Barney. There has to be some skeletons in that dinosaurs closet. But what car? Prowler? Spider? Gremlin?

I guess there must be so much old movie junk out there that collectors have to be *really* discerning about what they'll buy, and museums couldn't take them all. But Serenity props should really be given a home in the valhalla of props.
