I got a new computer recently and I realized that I've been treating it like a new car; reading up on newer parts, cleaning it more than I need to, etc. Is there anything that non-geeks enjoy that you do not, but that you can draw an equivalency to in your own interests?

After reading this Top 10 Satisfying Game Moments article (http://www.screwattack.com/node/19302) I realized that I play Tekken pretty much just for the satisfaction of landing a 6 hit combo on someone.
I was curious what things the HE crew finds the most satisfying, not just in games but also in real life. Outside of the obvious "eating a huge meal," "dropping a deuce," kind of stuff, what action or activity brings you that "Ahhhhhhhh…" feeling?

(You can just call me YT if it's easier).
Got any favorite internet video commenters? (Angry Video Game Nerd, That Guy With the Glasses (Nostalgia Critic), Spoony One as examples).

What do thing about Seth Grahame-Smith (The guy who wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) getting paid half a million bucks to write his next book, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter? I'm think I'm actually more likely to read that then the zombie book. What do you guys think?

Also you mentioned the CSI ep last week and I just thought I'd let you know that the best part of that episode was that after the director who was the murder victim showed a preview of his grittier version of the classic cheesy show, all the geeks in the audience were appalled, then all of a sudden Ron Moore came into frame and shouted "You suck!" Most people watching the show probably didn't know who he was or why it was funny, but I thought it was hilarious.
Also Castle is a pretty good show. If you don't like procedurals then you're not going to like it, but the characters are great and I recomend it to anyone into the genre or at least people who don't hate the genre.

Have you seen the trailer for the anime Apocalypse Meow? (aka Cat Shit One, not porn, I promise!) Its the cutest rendition of the conflicts in the Middle East possible : Camels are middle easterners and Americans are rabbits.

If you could follow the Twitter feed of any person in history, preferably dead, who would it be? Note that, in this scenario, you can see locked content. So if you're following the feed of Dick Cheney, you will be able to see all of his impersonal one sentence blogs about how pissed he is at the Balzenthians from Plural Zeta 5 for causing 9/11 and offing JFK.
I'd consider following Thomas Edison during his prime, or Napoleons tweets about his conquests.

What bizarre alternate dimension have i stumbled into where Salma Hayek kisses Tina Fey and is wearing a "What the Frak?" Tshirt on 30 rock. I'm not ashamed to say it was the most erotic half hour of comedy ever and i've seen meatballs 4!

Will you guys watch Stargate: Universe when it comes out, if only for the sake of reviewing it on a later podcast?
My enjoyment of Stargate is a painful one, similar to Joel's enjoyment of Smallville. The show has lame character development, and the quality of the plots has been going downhill for years.
They're promising to fix that with the new series, so I'll try and give it one more chance.

Hmm. That doesn't seem right. Also, I'm Dick Whitman.

I heard you guys say a few podcasts back that there were a few fancy bastards from Australia (I happen to be one!). But there isn't much love for us antipodeans on the podcast. I know we are a dungeon nation and the ever present threat of Dingo attack is a daily nuisance, but we also produce some mighty fine internet weirdness all our own.

What would be your Make A Wish Foundation-style ultimate wish? If it were guaranteed to happen what would you do, where would you go, and who would you hand out with while doing it?

Haha I do that too, I even drilled a grill pattern into one of the drivebay covers and put in an "intake" made from an emerald nuts snack tube. It worked too.

Who will play each of you in the Hijinks Ensue movie? Any actor living or dead just to spice it up.
My suggestions, solely based on who would be awesome to see:
Joel- John Stamos
Denise- Margaret Cho
Josh- Michael Chiklis (tell me you don't want to see him play gay)
Eli- Lou Diamond Philips
Alex- Lou Diamond Phillips (with CG beard)
April 24th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Stamos!
April 24th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
For Alex and Eli, both Philips will need beards, but Alex will obviously need a different CGI-d double-beard.

You know that's just an internet chain joke, right? The site its on is just a squatted domain!
I have no proof its fake – it might be legit – but it smells suspiciously like BS… Apologies for harshing your post.

Heh that's fine I just thought it was funny.

2 questions:
To Denise, assuming she is there:
If my math is right, how does it feel to officially be on more podcasts then Josh?
To the rest: If cost, time, science, and acts against God were not in play, what would be your vehicle/mode of transportation of choice?
Mine would be a T-Rex with a top hat, waxed handlebar mustache, and a monocle. I'd name him Horrorshow

Thoughts on another live-action TMNT movie?
Also, If you could be any animal (real, imaginary, extinct, whatever) what would you be?
April 25th, 2009 at 3:39 am
they need to make a tmnt movie more like the original comic; violent, bloody, etc; i hate that everyone always nods back to the 80s tmnt cartoon as the original
