The HE Studio is still in shambles from the recent move to my new office space so there won’t be a live stream. We’ll be recording Saturday afternoon (03-28-09) at 2:00pm central, so have your questions in before then.

In addition to right here on HijiNKS Ensue, you can pick up the HijiNKS Ensue Podcast via RSS, iTunes and The Podcast Archive Page. New casts are usually uploaded a few days after the live stream. You can also check out the Vid-cast archive on Ustream.

If you could rewrite/disobey one law of physics, what would it be?

  2. FurbyFrank

If I remember correctly all of you attended colleges, was there ever a professor or fellow student who influenced you in being the geekawesomness you are now?
Oh and a totally unrelated one, is there such things as women who like "Bears" Because well I have been aproched by guys, asking me on a date, but in to women, and was thinking if it work there too? (The question is kinda for Josh, and or Denise, but everyone can pitch in and make fun that I use HE as my loveline)

  3. Stupid Newbie

If you had a handheld transmogification device as seen in "Calvin & Hobbes" what would you transmogify eachother into?

  4. bipolarbear

If you could become friends with any celebrity, and all you gained was their friendship, who would it be. Keep in mind your not gaining in status or money, this is just someone who you would hang out with and enjoy their company. I think mine would be Kevin Smith or Seth Green.

  5. Dram

What unique funeral/burial service/corpse destruction would you like to have?

  6. Luna

Think back on life. If you hadn't had that moment that defined your turn to the geek side, how would you have turned out? (IE, imagine your life as a non-geek)

  7. BriBri

Which character do you think had the best resolution in the BSG finale? Thinking back on the beginning of the series some of them seem a little ridiculous.

    Baltar becomes a farmer?!
The Chief exiles himself to a empty island.
    Starbuck vanishes…

If I watched S1 again, somehow I don't think I would ever guess that is where those characters were heading

I was born in 1987 and subsequently grew up with the Simpsons and often saw defining moments in movies first through reference to them in the Simpsons. I'll always love The Terminator 2 reference when Homer chased down Ned as the T-1000 chasing the car.

Can you remember growing up and seeing a famous scene through reference first rather than the actual movie?

Across your table, you have people who grew up in homes without cell phones, computers, personal music players (Walkman came out when I was a tyke), and possibly even TV [that wasn't a World War II feed from a Pacific Army Base].

Looking at "kids today" and seeing how immersed they are in technology, what thoughts do you have about civilization's evolution and the inevitable generation divides to come?

Has everyone seen Prop 8 the musical? (may have been covered before)

Have you heard about the Ryan Motes incident? On that note have you had any horrible run ins with the police? http://www.khou.com/news/local/stories/khou090325...

Also, the NSA is building HAL. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/spyfactory/police.ht...

    Hey Josh:
Ich reise nach Deutschland nächste Woche, kann ich Dich etwas zurück bringen?

Eli, I too have seen Stand and Deliver and always just assumed that it was well known and that Edward James Olmos was a household name. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen "The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit", starring Joe Mantegna, Esai Morales and Edward James Olmos (in a very different role). It's based on a Ray Bradbury story and is sort of like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants if it starred dudes and was set in East L.A. It's a pretty silly movie, but if you're bored some night… http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0129634/

I came across this headline the other day, “Pentagon exploring robot killers that can fire on their own”. Aside from the creepy subject matter, I'm disappointed that they didn't just go for it and say “killer robots” in the title. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/homepage/story/64779.h...

i was listening to one of the old podcasts that was talking about rick rolling and goatseing other peoples computers; it made me laugh, we have these computers with large projector screens over here, and i sent out a .ppsx slideshow, one that would automatically open to a slideshow, bypassing the normal powerpoint document opening. so one of the computers hooked up to the screen had a young private sitting at the desk, who, not knowing any better, clicked on the attachment. at the front of the room was not my boss, but my boss's boss, back to the projector, speaking to his troops as a slideshow of diseased genitalia flipped through behind him(i rigged it up from a std class we were given at one point); what's the newest one of these going around? still 2 girls, one cup?

Now that Dollhouse is into the Joss-Endorsed episodes, have you changed opinion on it at all?

Do you think Tahmoh Penikett is bitter playing a role so clearly written for Nathan Fillion?

  15. LibrarianMere

Speaking as a woman who likes Bear-ish men herself, I will vouch for our existence! Semantically speaking, are Bear-ish dudes still Bears if they're straight? Is "straight Bear" an oxymoron? Maybe a mythical creature? ("Deep in the caverns, archaeologists have found paintings on the walls of the Great Straight Spirit Bear, whose constellation arched above the ancient peoples at night…")

  16. Trep

    Q. for Josh, What could a gay man say to another man to figure out if they were gay and a strait man would be none the wiser?

I have to say I stole this from Dan Savage. It would be good for picking up guys at a biker bar without being getting your ass beat, no pun intended.

P.S. I need that live stream, it is the drug i am jonesing for!

  17. ThunderingBlurb

Whoever thought Geata might get show and blown out an airlock due to treason?
What odd turns the characters took – very realistic in my opinion (well, I mean in that they end up in places they didn't expect. Baltar the farmer was pretty damned random.).

Lord knows I'm not where I thought I would be four years ago.

  18. Senor Facekick

This was the EXACT question I planned to ask this week. :C

  19. ¡Señor Facekick!

I know you've mentioned it on the podcast before, but has anyone at the table ACTUALLY seen JCVD? And, if so, what are your thoughts? I thought it was a surprisingly fantastic movie. One of my favorites this year.

One of the things that it succeeded to do was paint Jean Claude Vanne Damme as both a likeable person, and a fantastic actor, to a person who both despised him and thought he was terrible (Me.)

My question- Have any of you ever seen an actor play in a role that completely changed your perspective on who they are and what they do?

Also, My name is bruce; thoughts?

  20. FurbyFrank

    Hahahahaha
    So you do exist!!
Intheresthing, now I must go find some near me.. hunt or be hunted >.>
And I fo think that guys can be straight bears..

  21. LibrarianMere

Heehee… we all exist! (Yay us?)

  22. occono

Is Josh thinking about moving to Iowa?

  23. hijinksensue
