Here’s the idea: Friday 01-16-2009 @ 9pm Central we (the HE Crew) will be watching the Battlestar Galactica re-premiere and chatting live via Ustream. After the episode is over we will start the Podcast.
Both the BSG live chat and the Podcast will happen on the same Ustream Page (HERE). The BSG chat will not have any video might have video.
SCHEDULE for Friday 01-16-09
9pm Central (7pm West, 10om East) – BSG Live chat. We’ll be watching real time, so no commercial skips or anything. If you are East coast, you should be able to watch live with us. West Coasters are out of luck unless you can obtain the episode ahead of time and start watching it at 7pm your time.
NO SPOILERS!!!!!!!
10:30 Central – Starting HE Podcast #41 (HERE). Post your questions, topics and links in the comments, but rest assured that we will probably talk about BSG for a decent chunk of the show.

I wish I could take part, but I'll be driving to Toronto and staying with friends, it would be terribly impolite of me to ignore them for some BSG/Ustream hilarity.

I don't understand. The shows are simulcast in each time zone, yes? So wouldn't everyone be able to see it at the same time? Or does it show at 10 PM in every time zone? So EST gets it, then CST, etc.?

No its not simulcast, except for SciFi HD on Comcast, I get everything 3 hours early on the West Coast.

So it would air here EST at 10pm, and at the same time, it'd be airing CST at their 9pm? What about further west?
I never understood this growing up. You mean I could watch shows earlier, because they air at 7pm instead of 10? I could get so much more work done!

To the best of my knowledge east and central can watch at the same moment in the time space continuum (9 for me, 10 for NY) and West coast will not see it until much later (2 hours to be specific).

This isn't a question, but more of a WTF?!? – I sent an email to Disney because my digital copy of Wall-E had no code with it. So they sent me a new code. It was…"NHAEPPYR4APE".
Please tell me you see it too.
And now for an actual question – do you ever look at your podcast numbers and think "holy crap, there are literally thousands of people who care about what *I* have to say"? Can you describe how that feels?

I have several friends who like Buffy but not Firefly or vice versa. I don't understand the varying degrees of love for Whedon or how anyone can like one show he put out but not another. Why do you think this is?
