if you were on a deserted island, and you could only eat 1 thing every day forever, what would it be?
November 20th, 2008 at 10:09 am
If you could insert yourself into any movie, not to change the plot but to experience it alongside the characters, what would it be?
November 20th, 2008 at 10:59 am
What are your favorite/least favorite "Texasisms" and why? Are we ever going to hear another 90's alt rock challenge? Perhaps in a post show?
November 21st, 2008 at 1:08 am
Well heck, didn't think I'd missed a podcast but I don't remember this. If anyone can tell me exactly which one I'd 'preciate it.
November 21st, 2008 at 2:37 am
So I'm guessing you're MST3K fans, do you also follow Rifftrax & Cinema Titanic?
Did you know that Rifftrax are now open for submissions from anyone who wants to upload their own Riffs, would you guys be interested in entering?
If you do what movies would you choose to riff on?

If the HE crew were the crew of Serenity, who would be whom?

List of the five "most unusual" movie vampires: http://www.newsarama.com/film/081120-top-5-unusua...
And a quextion for the group: Hypothetically speaking, if you were able to try any illicit substance without any drawbacks (addiction, losing your shit, a bad trip, eating your own skin, etc.), which would it be?

They talked about how Rifftrax takes submissions, and about whether they should do one, in a previous podcast. If I had to guess, I'd say, oh, two podcasts ago
I remember them saying how they'd hate to be the guys who'd have to review all the crappy riffs that would no doubt be sent in.

This is a question for those of you who are still watching "Sarah Connor Chronicles".
Does anyone else think season 2 is building up to the reveal that Cameron is a "sex-bot"? It seems like they're pushing towards John and her falling in love/dating/her collecting his "DNA".
Or am I way off base here?
November 21st, 2008 at 4:43 am
Josh, have you seen Reefer Madness? If not, here's why you should. A musical about weed starring Kristen Bell.
Also, does Grey's Anatomy count as sci-fi now that a main character is actively banging a dead guy?
November 21st, 2008 at 9:55 am
Does it seem like the quality of cartoons has declined over the years since the 80's?
November 21st, 2008 at 10:54 am
Are you guys fans of Red Dwarf and if so do you have any favorite characters or episodes?
November 21st, 2008 at 11:28 am
Can I expand this question by requesting the promised cartoon discussion that was mostly hijacked by discussion of homophobic fucktards from last week. Particularly as it was nice to hear a subject that Denise had some quality input on.

Chad Kroger says to put down the Guitar Hero controllers and start a rock band so you to can have the "pleasure" of touring with Nickelback….
Which segues nicely into this question:
If there was any band you could be a roadie for in hopes of joining them one day (like Henry Rollins), who would it be?
Also, (may have been asked before), do you read other webcomics? If so, which ones?
November 22nd, 2008 at 2:49 am
For me that falls under the catagory of "everythings better when your a kid"
November 22nd, 2008 at 3:57 am
Also I just saw that the first episode of Drinky Crow Show is up on AdultSwim.com

Hey HE crew! I'm a long time reader, short time listener, and first time writer. I have a few questions. As I am a short time listener I don't know if they've been answered yet, so disregard any and all if they have.
What are your plans for the zombie apocalypse, i.e, where would you go or what would you do to survive?
If any of you had to kill josh for any reason, how would you go about doing it without getting caught?
____ __
Eli, what do you think about the supposed 'casualification' of the gaming industry and how it is effecting 'hardcoerz' gamers. I don't mean nintendo specifically, I also mean the new xbox update and all three companies shifting focus away from their original target audience.
Discuss the use of iambic pentameter in act 4, scene 4 of Othello. Coming up with questions is harder than i thought.
November 22nd, 2008 at 8:43 am
A question for Eli and/or Josh.
Now that Highway to Hell has shipped what has happened to the dev team? Do you get an extended break? A nice bonus?
Or are you reassigned to a new project right away?
November 22nd, 2008 at 11:28 am
A google search says that Rifftrax were mentioned in Podcast 6 and someone asked a question about them in Podcast 27.

It looks like they mentioned that Rifftrax existed in podcast 6, and Lardboy mentioned the I-riffs in Podcast 27. I remember the Orangina ad that he's talking about in Podcast 27. Do you remember that (the orange juice for furries ad)?
November 23rd, 2008 at 3:22 am
Reefer Madness didn't start as a musical: The original film, which was 1930s propaganda that experienced weird copyright issues, and wasn't released until the 60s/70s, where it got the midnight movie treatment. In the 90s, there was a stage adaptation, which was later made into the Showtime Musical staring Alan Cumming and Kristen Bell.

I believe if a "production" (be it a show or movie) is unionized, they are not allowed to hire non-union workers to work on it. And SAG actors face penalties from their union if they cross picket lines.
The majority of scripted primetime broadcast-network shows are SAG unionized. The majority of cable TV shows, I'm told, are under a different union (AFTRA), so cable shouldn't be hurt as much. It would also mean no SAG actors on late-night television shows as well.

Guns & Roses: Chinese Democracy, like, loath or not give a damn?
November 26th, 2008 at 11:46 am
Thanks for the info, Zac. Only got to find time to relisten now
November 26th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
This is more of an opinion than a question, but I'd say that this SAG strike is a good thing, not a bad. I think that a lack of big name actors would mean that talented newcomers can see some light. with the writer's strike, the established characterization and feel of a show and it's writing was thrown out the window- see Heroes, for example (though that just kind of sucks all around now) but with a SAG strike, they can be replaced by better, newbie actors. do you agree?
