I totally had this experience! two things different: one of the vignettes was a girl, trying to convince her mom not to leave her alone with her stepdad, and her mom was all like, "he said you would say that. you just hate him." and left. and then she got raped!! I mean, they didn't show that part but it was horrible, mind-searingly clear, even to a 13-year-old. I was like, I don't even understand what I am supposed to be feeling here? at least the abortion one is clear! stepdads are evil? don't talk to your mom about things, she won't understand? you are screwed no matter what you do to prevent it? god hates tattletales? if you go to hell you will be powerless and get raped? (ours was a 'trip to hell' so we we were technically in hell, I guess?) Haha, amazing!
