Side note, if you’ve gotten your HE shirt or Prints and want to share, please send pics to comics(at)hijinksensue(dot)com and I’ll post them on flickr.

Do you have a favorite line/scene from 'Firefly'? Couple of my favorites:
Wash: Did he just go crazy and fall asleep? (The Train Job)
or
Jayne: What'd y'all order a dead guy for? (The Messenger)
A little piece of me dies everytime I watch that show.

Just a few notes from last podcast:
- Daryl Hannah is missing a finger, and she has somewhat of a career. Not that I want LeDouche to act anymore.
- Black Captain America is like some twisted Tuskegee Experiment.
- What do you think about Tom Morello being in Iron Man? Apparently, he had a bit part as Insurgent #5, who was just cannon fodder for the Mark I break out.

And now, some skipped over questions from Podcast 23
:
3) Michael Bay FIOS commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXRCf9LbLM0
Ignorant hubris, or self-mockery?
4) John Waters versus Steve Buscemi

for all you gamers…. what's your favorite game from every console that you've ever owned?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
1) Dead rising for wii – is it worth having 2 zombies max on screen at a time for the added waggle?
2) Virgin galactic – How long before we see flaming millionaire chunks raining from the sky?
3) Have you had any run ins with the law you are prepared to talk about?

Who are your favorite comedians?

EDIT(because the real edit won't work): The second link is because I want to hear you all laugh awkwardly when he ditches the crutch…

"Chupacabra" caught on Dewitt County, TX deputy's dashboard camera:

Thoughts? More importantly, do any of you have stories about first-hand experience with chupacabra, bigfoot, mangy dogs, or other mythical beasts?

If you could pick out super powers for your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/cats, which super powers would you pick?
Also, would you want them to join the X-Men, even if it meant both of you moving to San Francisco and hanging out with Cyclops every day?

Oh, and a quick question about the site and the experiment: How come there are no ads on the site? Is it a personal stance or is it because we're all viewing this in Firefox with Adblock Plus on anyways? It would be nice to be able to support the site with click throughs.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Ads were put into place a few days ago. Your Adblock/script killers are doing their job, so turn them off and click away!
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
I have inhaled enough pesticides in the last week to kill a small mammoth. What super powers can I expect to begin developing? Bonus points for a related battle-cry.
That question is mostly for Eli, since it deals with both superheroes and pesticides.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Ah ha! So they are. Ok, new question: How many click throughs a month are going to be needed to keep HE alive?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Ads are a VERY SMALL part of keeping HE alive. Right now its all about donations and sales in the store.

Wii gets DVD movie playback courtesy of homebrew developers…
http://hackmii.com/2008/08/libdi-and-the-dvdx-ins...
This is finally making me install the Homebrew Channel.
So, what other features and/or apps (homebrew or official) would get you to drag your Wii(s) out of storage more often?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
You install the Homebrew Channel by running a special hacked save of Twilight Princess. That's awesome.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
What are the podcaster's opinions on nudist nuns?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Can you cite precedent? Otherwise I dont think you'll get much of an answer from the crew on this one.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
I die every time I watch Heart of Gold, and I see that scene where Wash and Zoe talk about having kids someday.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
For Eli and Josh. How did you guys get the jobs you currently have? What degree(s) did you complete? How hard was it to obtain your current position?

I got to thinking (because I don't feel like working this morning) What makes a geek a geek? I have decided, it's not just about the geeky shit you LIKE, which is only one piece of the puzzle, it's what you don't like, further HOW MUCH YOU DON'T LIKE stuff… True geeks tend to dislike things A LOT. they tend to be ridiculously critical, ridiculously pretentious and ridiculously elitist.
Have you ever met a geek who wasn't? Someone who just goes with the flow? Yeah, me niether. I can't count how many times people have said to me "Do you hate EVERYTHING!?". I'm the grumpy f'in smurf of geeks.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Tuskegee experiments are exactly what they are based on.
Do you guys have any favourite comedy groups from overseas? No, you can't say Monty Python. I meant Fry and Laurie, Shaun Micallef, Smack the Pony etc…
Are there any famous deaths that you still mourn? I still can't watch the "Bill moves on" episode of newsradio without cursing Phil Hartman's crazy wife.
I promise this is the last time I'll post about Kids in the Hall, but… new movie!

Awesome stuff. I listen to the podcast on train on my way to work and was laughing so hard during "Schindler's List The Musical" that the lady sitting next to me moved to another seat. (Mind you I was in a suit and tie with a briefcase on my lap.) You guys will get your own show, movie, action figures, etc. some day, you have the stuff. Just don't mess it up like Wicked Scepter did. A quick question, if Texas is such a vapid cultural wasteland, why stay there?
Also will there be any poster art for the musical.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
i'm a laid back geek. i am critical, but not elitist, or pretentious. i actually hate ppl who are. most of my geek friends are also laid back. maybe you're just hanging out with the wrong geeks.

Sorry for the serious (and long) question, but here's a serious question (kinda related to the question above from Joeyjoejoe). I know you guys have touched on this before, but I wanted to ask you about your experiences being fairly liberal, non-religious, and in some cases gay or Mexican people who were raised and/or reside in the great state of Texas. I ask because I live in northern Michigan, I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and while most people aren't blatant racists or homophobes, most people in these areas have really conservative values and would really prefer to only have white people around. For example, I know almost everyone at my workplace (an engineering and manufacturing firm) will be voting for McCain, even though many of them are young enough and educated enough to know better. This is one of the reasons that I tend not to socialize with people at my work. One of my co-workers, who I probably like the most out of anyone here, said not long ago, "I guess I'm just too religious to ever vote for a Democrat".
So I guess my question is, if all this sounds kinda familiar, how do you deal with it, having different social, political and religious beliefs than basically everyone around you?

Random question time: Favorite song on your iPod/computer/music player thing?
And which movie do you absolutley refuse to see (from any time, be it coming to theaters or released on DVD/video/TV already)

Joel: If you could come into possession of the Teminator Time Bubble, what you would you tell your past self to do differently with the Experiment?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Okay, so let's go slightly Desert Island disks, all of you (individually of course) are going to trapped on an island for the rest of your life. Knowing this you are allowed to take three luxury items with you, there are two conditions they cannot be used for escape nor can they be other people.
Also on a podcast 24 related note, I can't believe Joel hates Booster Gold, yeah he's not the most fantastic superhero ever but he is good fun and has had some pretty good storylines and the current incarnation of him as a time travelling agent of order is really fun.
p.s. please keep up the comic.

I just got back from Los Angeles last night. Seeing todays Comic was awesome because I've been staring at this for the last week straight:

That's a 20(ish) story hotel with Tropic Thunder Murals.
As for my question, How do you think stereoscopic movies will do in the coming years? (3D Movies) It seemed to be the "Hot Buzz" of Siggraph this year. Anyone foresee Blue and Red contact lenses anytime soon? Also, how do you think gaming will be affected by this 3D renaissance?

So I went to a big anime convention, Otakon, last weekend and it was awesome. Cosplayed as Capt. Hammer and Hellboy, both were big hits. My question is what I should go as for my next con, I thought it would be really funny to go as Josh going as Kratos. A meta-cosplay as it were. That or a really bloody Brock.
Oh I also found this

Also who would win Teletubbies or One-Eye XP
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
The podcast is over for this week. Normally, Joel would place a comment to show the end of that week's questions.
