My usual Lord of the Rings related question.

Mr. Tumnus=Bilbo?
Related to Indy 4, have any of you guys read Chariots of the Gods? It's basically the first published work to discuss the idea of the Peruvian Natives having contact with aliens.
And on the subject, what are your opinions on intelligent extra-terrestial life?
For me it's an obvious: yes other lifeforms exist in the universe.

Who would win in a fight: Borg Han Solo riding Mongo from Blazing Saddles as a mount, or Zombie Indy in a swordvan (that is, a van with a sword attached to the front)?

First off: I need Josh to sing Closing Time by Semisonic, so that my junior high memories may be fully defiled.
Second: In honor of new Venture Brothers: favorite episode or moment

For Eli, fuck you, you're not welcome back! VIVA DENISE!
Just kidding. I miss the Mexican.
Anyways, wondering what everyone's favorite episode of Buffy is? Angel and Firefly as well.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
oh please i can answer that right now.
"Maybe his name is a killing word!"

Hey guys,
Welcome back Eli!
If all the Hollywood execes came to you and said that you could choose one comic to NEVER make into a movie which comic would it be?, and why?

Least favourite Whedon characters, regular or recurring?
You guys (Josh, Eli and Joel) have enough instruments between you to play Europe's "The Final Countdown", make this happen.
Have any of you guys watched the genius that is the annual Eurovision Song Contest?

If you could email yourself 5 years into the past but only 5 words, what would they be?
Joel, it may not fit into the 90's part of the 90's alt rock challenge, but since your're a Coheed and Cambria fan, how about some Time Consumer or Devil in Jersey City? That's early 2000, so close enough.

If Obama wins this election, what specific changes would you like to see him make within the country (in other words, not counting the obvious changes to our foreign policy).
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Ditto on a favorite Firefly favorite episode or moment

in keeping with reading comments, do any who are present for this podcast have an author or book that they're passionate about and what to share with the world? extra damage if it changed your point of view on something like your self-identity, worldview, thoughts about construction of sci-fi or fantasy worlds… shit like that >.>

As a permutation of this question, what movies do you ardently WANT to be made, but which they shouldn't make because NO ONE ELSE would enjoy it?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
and i want to hear inappropriate political jokes about any candidate political character that stem from this discussion. who would you elect who isn't running, real or fictional?

How was watching Cloverfield, finally? After the "shit your face" comment in one of the podcasts, I wanna hear this story ^_^

I made the mistake of deciding to watch Rush Hour 2 this morning, and realized that there are just some personalities the world would be better off without. If you could choose five "celebrities" from any media (actors, writers, artists, etc.) to be erased from reality permanently, who would they be and why?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Space Camp vs. Wargames.
Just got both on DVD from the cheap bin at walmart, which should I watch?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Which part of the entire HE experience is the most frustrating and which is the most fun?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
*still enjoying transmogrifying other people's questions*
If you could replace celebrities (or any other person) with any other person, who would you replace with whom? i.e. replace Josh with Golum (who is far more flamboyant) and replace Rob Schneider with Josh (who is far more talented)

Go back and get that Tremors 4 pack they have. =P Watch that shit up, it's awesome.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am

"the dreaded candiru!" and
"oh come on, he's from Depeche Mode!"
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Did you read that comic where the Millenium Falcon crash landed on some mystery planet, and Chewie and Han were attacked by natives, Han gets arrowed, dies, then I guess many years pass, Indy and his crew discover the remains of Han and the MF?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Joel's a Coheed fan? News to me, but I didn't finish the podcast yet.
Point is, Joel must also sing during his cover of a Coheed song. It must be done!
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Not really, and no…
I can haz link?

Ok, here's one I heard someone ask one time. What song would be the most amusing to hear karaoked by a group of drunk Japanese businessmen?
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
It wasn't in the podcast so far as I know. Normally I'd chalk it up to being on drugs, but this time there's proof Joel's a Coheed fan in the music forums.
February 5th, 2009 at 11:36 am
Holy Hell, 4 pack? 1 was awesome, 2 I don't think I could finish, 3 I was aware of, the way one is aware of the flesh eating virus but don't want to come into contact with. I can only assume 4 takes out your soul, rapes it with Hitler's ghost, then only gives you half of it back. Has Kevin Bacon hit rock bottom enough yet to re-appear by 4?

Since you mentioned the new Weezer album on the last podcast, what do you think of Rivers Cuomo's Youtube song writing….thing? It's not really a contest, as there is no prize. Point is, I think it's sort of lazy. He had the fans write the melody and he sorta just made it into his own sort of thing. Also, Rivers keeps fucking with the videos so I get bored and don't want to watch it anymore. It is cool to see the song writing process, sort of. Shame the song sucks so hard.

We recorded last night, so no more question on this thread. Thanks, Guys!

Indeed. They are one of my favorite bands. Scifi epic story + comic books + Prog Metal + Vocal Harmoies = recipe for musicgasm.

Claudio Sanchez was at NY Comic Con. You could tell it was him from far away from the hair.
